Producers and Vendors

  • 1. The Farmer’s Market will operate 9am to 12pm every first Saturday of the month from June through October.

    2. The location is 400 W Santa Fe Trail Blvd in Lakin- Golden Grain Enterprises. (Cream and red building/parking lot across from the grocery store.) You can either set up with a table of your own, or park or sell out of the back of your vehicle.

    3. There is no cost for a booth. Vendors are required to complete a vendor application with signed agreement to the guidelines on or before their first market. You are responsible for reading and following the guidelines.

    4. Vendors can begin setting up at 8am. You will need to provide your own tables, chairs. KCFM Canopies are available for use on a first come first served basis. Vendor area should be kept clean and organized, and you must leave the area just as you found it.

    5. This is a family friendly market. Alcohol is not allowed and our location is a tobacco free property.

    6. The Market Managers have the right to refuse the sale of any products not deemed appropriate for the Kearny County Farmer’s Market.

    7. Vendors who violate this agreement may not be permitted to return for future dates.

    8. The Market is not an outlet for the resale of wholesale products or secondhand items.

    9. Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting their own sales tax.

    Kearny County Wellness Coalition Coordinators or volunteers may take photos for promotion and advertising purposes. It is possible that you, your family, or your booth could be in these photos.

  • 1. Products such as homemade soap, laundry soap, oils, lotions, etc. are acceptable as long as they are homemade.

    2. Sewing arts, crafts, woodworking, and other arts are acceptable as long as they are handcrafted.

    3. Foods and beverages sold ready for immediate consumption by community groups for fundraising purposes are welcome. A license is required if you sell it more than 7 times per year. No licensing is required, however, for 6 times or fewer but you must follow sanitation and hygiene requirements for exempt food establishments. (See Resources for more information)

    4. The following products are allowable at the market, without a license, per KDA requirements:

    • eggs • candies • honey • cultivated mushrooms • spices • herbs • prepared foods • live plants • fresh or dried vegetables • fresh or dried fruits • berries • pepper vinegars made with raw pepper • seeds & grains • nuts • cut flowers • nursery products • apple juice or cider• baked goods without cream cheese • non-edible agricultural products • reusable bags • flavor infused vinegars • homemade dried pasta • fruit leathers • canned fruits & other shelf stable naturally high acid foods • intact salad greens • dry baking mixes.

    5. Sampling of fruit, vegetables, or other prepared foods is allowed but must be prepared and served in a safe manner.

    6. If you have foods that are allowed to be sold only with the proper licensing, you must have your license with you while you are selling at the Market. Market Managers or KDA Inspectors may ask to see it at any time.
